FMN is an independent advisory firm providing financial advisory services to project owners, project backers and technology providers in the RES power generation sector. 

We focus on utility-scale power plants employing solar-photovoltaic and -thermal technologies. We combine over 70 years’ experience in engineering and financial advisory experience in our firm.

We have extensive knowledge and experience in initiating, structuring and funding utility scale power projects and managing complex and large-scale transactions.

We align our interests to those of our clients to ensure that our clients maximise value along every step of the value chain of large-scale power projects. 

We provide high-quality and rigorous analysis and project execution.

Our mission is to provide advice which our clients find valuable, situation-specific, technology-driven and target-oriented. 

We are present in GermanySwitzerland and China and work with a large network of investors, lenders, technology providers and EPC partners.

CAPITAL RAISING / PROJECT FINANCE

We advise both established and growth stage companies and projects on capital raising.

 

We have experience in accessing a broad choice of equity and debt financing providers. We maintain contacts and relationships to classical lenders as well as impact investors, corporate VCs, PEs as well as export credit agencies (ECAs) and multilateral finance institutions. 

 

We are able to provide an independent view on optimal financing strategies, driven by region, sector and stage.

 

We provide advisory services on financial strategies including funding requirements and business plan modelling, equity placings, debt financing and project financing.

MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS

We offer a full range of M&A services and guide and advise our clients throughout the process. We have extensive experience in structuring and executing complex M&A transactions for the benefit of our clients. 

 

We have specific transactional experience in the energy, engineering & automotive, software and consumer goods sectors. Our partners have longstanding relationships with many institutional investors.

 

We are also experienced in project-related M&A, maximising value from early-stage, ramp-up and mature power projects (e.g. DevCo-YieldCos). 

 

We advise on Sell- and Buy-Side transactions, divestitures, and carve-outs.

DR.–ING. GÜNTER FINKE

 

Günter held senior executive management roles at leading German industrial corporates Schaeffler Group, Mannesmann Group, ZF Group, Babcock Borsig, and the consultants Roland Berger. He has wide-ranging operating experience. Günter has worked as a corporate adviser for government entities (UKTI, EBRD) and advised industrial and private equity-owned companies in buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, as well as advising on infrastructure projects globally. He has worked in global roles for his entire career, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia. He holds an engineering (thermodynamics) doctorate and has deep knowledge of RES technologies. Günter is also an early-stage investor in innovative technology companies.

SVEN MOOS

Sven is an investment banker with over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A and equity capital markets. He has transaction experience in European jurisdictions and the US and has advised on projects in the Middle East. At FMN, Sven focuses on financing aspects, transaction structuring and negotiation on behalf of clients. Sven speaks German, French and English. He has worked at Apax Partners Corporate Finance (now: Altium), HSBC Investment Bank, Morgan Stanley and was a founder partner of a London-based boutique advisory firm, Herax Partners. Sven has worked as an independent corporate adviser for the past 17 years.
